La Fage

Un Petit Coin de France

Two beautiful, character gîtes in the quiet hamlet of La Fage in the department of the Aveyron located in the Occitanie region of South-West France. Surrounded by magnificent open countryside, this is the perfect place to unwind and explore.

The Aveyron is the largest department in the Occitanie and is home to 10 of the designated "Most Beautiful Villages in France", more than any other department. With its numerous medieval chateaux and stunning Knights of the Templar strongholds, it's famous for Roquefort cheese, Laguiole knives and the incredible Millau viaduct.

The region's landscape changes with every turn of the road ... from deep river valleys and undulating hills to views of nearby mountains, and covers the lower valley of the Lot, the Marcillac valley, and the gorges of the Tarn and Aveyron rivers.

You can enjoy a walk on the path of the French Resistance, canoe through the gorges, sit on the banks of the River Aveyron fishing, or stroll through the vineyards of the Marcillac valley ..... The choice and enjoyment is endless.

There are plenty to restaurants to choose from to suit all tastes. Ranging from the small family restaurants serving only seasonal food they have grown themselves, to the more salubrious Michelin star restaurants of Belcastel, Rodez and Laguiole.

The regional food of foie gras, aligot and stockfish is a must to be tried or if you fancy something bottled, you could always pop into a wine cave for a snifter or two!

This is a truly an unspoilt and undiscovered corner of

France.....

just waiting.......
